MARATHON, Florida Keys – Instead of flowers, moms can get the “gift” of fish during the third annual Mother’s Day Dolphin Tournament, a benefit for Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys set for May 8-9.

A rules meeting and dinner are to be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Big Time Bait and Tackle, mile marker 53 oceanside in Marathon.

Saturday, May 9, lines-in is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and lines-out for 3:30 p.m., with a weigh-in until 5 p.m. at Big Time Bait and Tackle. An awards banquet and ceremony is set for 7 p.m. at Castaways Restaurant.

Several cash prizes whose total exceeds $15,000 will be awarded at the one-day tournament. The top cash prize for the heaviest fish is $5,000, with prizes also awarded to second- through fifth-place anglers.
