MIAMI (June 8, 2010) — Star Clippers has opened the books and is taking reservations on its summer 2011 through spring 2012 sailings aboard Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer.

The line recently unveiled the itineraries for its new Mediterranean sailings in summer 2011 that introduce 10 maiden ports and take the ships to Greece and Turkey as well as the western Med. Come fall, Royal Clipper and Star Clipper return to the Caribbean and Star Flyer heads back to Costa Rica.

When Star Flyer returns to the Med in 2011, the ship will begin sailing new seven-night itineraries between Athens, Greece, and Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to continuing round-trip Monte Carlo, Monaco, cruises along the French and Italian rivieras, Star Flyer also will sail seven-night itineraries between Valletta, Malta; Monte Carlo and Athens. Come fall, the ship resumes round-trip Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, cruises to ports throughout Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua.

During the summer, Royal Clipper sails the western Mediterranean with seven-, 10- and 11-night itineraries. The seven-night cruises sail round-trip Civitavecchia (Rome) and highlight the best of Italy. The 10- and 11-night journeys between Civitavecchia and Venice, Italy, call at ports in Italy, Sicily, Montenegro, Greece and Croatia. When Royal Clipper returns to the Caribbean in the fall, the ship sails two different seven-night, round-trip Bridgetown, Barbados, itineraries.

Come summer, Star Clipper sails seven-night Greek Isles and Turkey cruises round-trip from Athens. In July, the ship sails two 10- and 11-night cruises between Venice and Athens to ports throughout Greece and Croatia, also including a call in Montenegro. When Star Clipper returns to the Caribbean in the fall along with Royal Clipper, the ship sails two different seven-night, round-trip Philipsburg, St. Maarten, itineraries, as well as two 14-night Panama Canal cruises.

Guest looking for a longer cruise vacation can embark on a Grand Mediterranean Voyage from 12 to 21 days. The extended itineraries aboard all three ships offer a more in-depth exploration of some of the most beautiful areas in the eastern and western Mediterranean. Star Clipper sails itineraries that touch the shores of North Africa, Greece Italy, Malta and Spain. Royal Clipper sails to ports in Italy, Spain, North Africa and Portugal. And Star Flyer’s grand voyages visit ports in Portugal, Morocco, Spain, France and Greece.
