Our agency recently executed a successful social media influencers trip for Holland America Line. Despite a short lead time, we identified, vetted and invited five influencers to experience a HAL Caribbean cruise on the line’s Eurodam, at the time the second-newest ship in the fleet.

We originally were given just six weeks’ lead time to execute the trip under some highly restrictive parameters. It quickly became clear that our first choices were already booked, though they expressed interest in the Holland America product for a future trip.

With a two-week extension and a loosening of the parameters, we were able to secure five highly qualified and cooperative influencers with different editorial angles and, more importantly, strengths in different platforms. While all communicated across social media platforms, one was focused on Instagram while another was an inveterate tweeter. As a result, we executed a dynamic reach and spread over the major social media platforms before, during and after the cruise.
